OLL Weather Policy - Inclement Weather
ASSUME THE GAME IS TO BE PLAYED! If you have not been contacted by the League, then the status of the game will be decided at the field by the Umpires and Coaches.
If the game has been postponed before 4:30 pm on the day of the game:
There will be a note posted on the web-site
Coaches will be contacted by the League Convener.
A message will be put on the Office Phone (905-827-1831)
If there is any sign of Thunder or Lightning before or during the game, the game will be postponed immediately.
The Home Team coach will inform the League Convener and League Scheduler about the postponement.
Before the Game: If it is raining before the game, the Coaches of both teams, in conjunction with the Umpires, will decide whether the game will be played or not
During the Game: Once the game has started, it is the discretion of the Umpire as to whether the game should be delayed or postponed.
If a game is delayed by Rain, have the players go to their cars, and wait a reasonable time to see if the game can be continued.
If the safety of the players is an issue because of the condition of the field, the game will be postponed.
The Convener will re-schedule any postponed games. The Coaches are not to re-schedule the game on their own.
